Kelly Jean Bryant – Pastor

Kelly (they/them) grew up outside of Lexington, Virginia, attending a Pentecostal church with their family. While they felt a call to preach during childhood, they knew that would never be a reality for an LGBT person in that denomination. Thankfully, they found other denominations (UCC!) over the years that taught the true love of God. Kelly made it their purpose to minister and teach about God’s all-powerful, all-inclusive love.

Kelly received their M.Div. with a concentration in biblical studies from United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities. Their strong connection to God is apparent in their daily habits and conversations, shining through in their solid commitment to social justice. While Kelly uses they/them pronouns to refer to themself, they will not be at all offended to be mistakenly referred to as she/her.

Kelly currently lives in Salem, VA with their wife Sandra, and their son, Trips.
